V Day!! Is smthg special abt it?
Well...happened to raed through this newspaper article on V Day, and its origin!!
certainly we all knopw about cupid and all (in)Famous "kama" Deva as per Hindu mythology. But it seems that this concept was prevelant in days our ancestors as well.
neways chuck that apart, V Day and its celebrations..!! Hmm..that can be a topic I can be writing today about!
It is just so crazy around...when u look at people, and see them thinking on how to celebrate this great day..V day!!
But you know what is the craziest thing....Gals as usual stand higher up than the guys in buying "gifts". May be that will be a better way to put it as!
So..I was also thinking about how I'll be celebrating my V day..and then I happened to realize that it is a working day...and all plans.."Phew"..of course, I am talking abt the plans still in the conceptions stage. But plans are plans yaar!!
Still gathering all the broken pieces of my heart, I was trying to figure out whether I can take a holiday, but again due to reason, THE plan shattered again!!
Well nothing unusual was going on with me..till now..!!
So...i finally decided...it seems 14th is not a lucky date..and what if the event is preponed by a day.....13th might be unlucky for some, but lucky for me...!!
And that was one of the great days in my life!! Of course I'm not here to talk abt the nitty gritties of the same....
But we watched "Rang de basanti"...and it was an amazing movie....seriously...it was just awesome...
Such a nice fusion it was....remembrable...and an old concept in a new frame...
just ulti cool....!!
And the way the things have been depicted suiting the present day...it is just amazing! The revolutionaries need to be there even today...people need to be as courageous as they were a century before! People need to raise their voices against the injustice done to them....
and it is "we" only, who can change the things prevailing.....
and certainly, I agree to the statement...."Things cannot change overnight"...but yeah "you" can make it happen...
and we should think similar...
the responsibility of the place where we live in..lies on our shoulders...and there is nothing good in thinking about it as bad..and migrating to soem other country..
certainly, not all people can be in this league and take a vow to change the country, becaus ei understand few people just lack that feeling...its ok...
but people who want to do some thing in lofe in this country..who are convinced that nothing can happen of this country..should come to limelight...and make an effort to goa head..to take masses with them...and change the things out here....
I read about this political party "Paritraan", formed by few IITians and a lot more intelligent people...and if they use the correct startegy, they can try to clean up the dirt in our country a bit...
Let us start from our hearts...go to our homes, our family, our neighnourhood..our area..our country...
Let us take a vow today, that we will not curse the nation..it is what we have made it....
it is ours, made by us, and run by us....
I happened to recall the book Vision 2020, that I read recently, written by our President Kalam. And it is so good to see, what all policies and practices our leaders sugest, things that are implementable....bio-diesel---rural devlopment asan industry, and things like that....
and then i hapen to remember further movies like swades, and they have some sort of hidden truth in them...some things that can be implemented...
few things that stand out there, like an iron pillar....without rust in all seasons...standing the rains, the storm, and the floods...because it is just true...
See around and we'll see all these things making an impact on life of others and oursleves. These are the things that always remain, these are the thoughts that never change, not even with civilizations, not even with history...
because people will always come first.
Sooner or later--we have to realise.....
and understand the feeling of changing for betterment still existing in the hearts of the people.....in hearts of all those who have hope, in hearts of all those who have given up hope, and are waiting for some magical event to take place.
